this is a little long, but stick with me.. if you recall, when the building work was in full swing at the new lakefront villa (warwick), wt was having workers come and they would put them up for a year, or more, while they were providing "volunteer services".

with that, and the impending need for hundreds and hundreds of new khs in the usa territory, the congregations were abuzz with the need for "continued construction volunteers".

recently, as many of you know, wt headquarters has sent pretty much everyone home, and is no longer needing workers at the new warwick site, as the building is mostly complete, with the dedication coming up later this year.

I also remember when we were at Bethel Brother Don Underwood was in charge of the construction in foreign branches. I remember one time when I was at lunch he went off on those who applied expecting help with plane fares. If you applied to do international construction you and you were assigned to a expensive country and could not afford it you would be blacklisted and could not go to work for them for 5 years. So if you say had saved up to 3,000 but were sent to a country where the plane ticket cost 4,000 and could just not afford it then you could not volunteer for 5 years. Brother Underwood was upset that anyone would even dare to ask for help to get to their assignment. I clearly remember him saying why should Bethel help out anyone, why did they not count the cost.Luke 14:28.

I was just blown away by his comments, plus he seemed worked up over it that anyone would dare to ask for any help.

I just got to thinking AlltimeJeff just did a thread on Gaslighting. This is exactly what you have been doing to me Landy. Trying to make me feel crazy, name calling, etc. Than when I call you out on it you throw it back at me trying to make me out to be the one attacking you. Making yourself the victim, being insulted because I called you uneducated and ignorant. I am not saying in life in general that you are ignorant or uneducated but when it comes to this topic of child molesters and you refuse even though it is right in front of you, all you have to do is type in the words yet you refuse and instead say you do not need to because as you put it, "not everyone has the same priorities and the safeguarding policies of a minor restorationist religion are of no concern to the vast majority of people."

But see it is to a lot of people, people like Trey Bundy and SNAP, NPR, PBS.

So even though right in front of you right now you can type in the words you have to wait until tomorrow. If that is not gaslighting me than what is.

I would not have called you uneducated and ignorant in any other space but this. You came on defending and backing up RO, you started to insult me last week calling me mentally ill. Then when I bring up NPR and PBS, Trey Bundy and Reveal, than SNAP you come back acting like I am some nut case throwing around words that mean nothing just because you have not heard of them.

Now you get offended because I call you uneducated and ignorant. Look up what the words mean. Just because you have not heard of SNAP in your little part of the UK does not mean it is not a very active organization. It is huge in Ireland as it has exploded with cases of children being molested for years by priest.

Also just because you say you will ask ones at work means nothing because you clearly have a computer right in front of you all you have to do is google it and you will clearly see just how huge and massive SNAP and NPR and PBS and Trey Bundy with Reveal is. In fact right now you can listen to Tray's report from last month. I know for a fact it was huge in Seattle Washington and many people heard it.

But no you won't do that, only just slam me, and ask you experts at work tomorrow. Strange, maybe you are afraid I am right.

It still takes teeth to make it happen. I did contact my local new's station about the child molesters after I sent a letter to NBC, the producer at N|BC wanted it to go local first, I did go to the police. They all were interested, in fact I interviewed on the local news but I am a nobody. I do not have the name recognition Leah has. I am just one voice and no one else wanted to speak out.

For it to break like Leah has done would take someone with a name, and backing. I have also watched ones make fools of themselves because they do not do it right and like 6 screens it becomes a joke with Rick Feanor and Johnny the ex Bethelight.

I want no part in such things as Rick puts out. I want dignity and to not be a joke. At fist I thought any voice was better than no voice, but since I have learned if it is not done right you wind up looking like a fool and everyone thinks ex JW's are idiots.

Right now I do not see it happening because the JW's are so fragmented with some really having it together and others attacking them and wanting the spotlight.

I do not know what the answer is expect we need someone who has their act together like Leah.

That what? That my priorities are skewed? Seriously? If it were not for SNAP you would not be talking about the Catholic Church or the boy scouts having a problem in their religion. See this is the problem, the vast majority of people do not care that children are being raped. The vast majority of Catholics did not care or what to see what was happening in their religion either. As long as it was not their kid or grandkid, as long as it did not affect their little bubble of their world who cares about the rest. But the fact is it does affect everyone whether you like it or not.

Well you should look up Trey Bundy. And it's funny you just said about it never going to be page 1 in a sustained way is what those who started (SNAP) Survivors Network of those abused by Priests were told that they did not have a chance in Hades of every bringing any change to the Catholic Church. If those abused people had listened to ones like you and accepted a fatalistic view we would not have had such movies as Spotlight and Doubt driving home the point that us victims will never stop.

SNAP is now a very large grassroots movement in many country's not just the US and even though it has been painfully slow it has had huge impacts on the Church. Not enough in my opinion but still something is better than not doing anything and saying oh well it's a losing battle why bother.

Also ones like Trey Bundy are not going to stop. I am so thankful for him. I do not mean to be rude or upset but I have seen to many people not just in the JW faith who have been abused and have turned to drug's, alcohol and suicide because everyone told them it was just a up hill battle that there was no hope that anything would ever change. I know of one beautiful young JW women who killed herself because no one would stop her abuser from abusing others.

I think of her and all of those who are broken and hurt and if my voice is the only voice then so be it but I will never stop speaking out and thankfully I know I am not the only voice as I see ones like OrphanCrow, JWdaughter, Flipper, Vidiot and so many, many others who are standing up against ones like RO who is down playing this trying to discourage ones. I just will never stop.

I think I need to apologize to you along with many others on this board. We thought this was a discussion board where we could state what we feel and some of us are very passionate about the child molesters in the JW faith. Some of us may state our hopes and wishes that it would stop, that JW children and even those who are cold called on in the field service might have a chance of not being called on by JW peodphilies. And if they do get raped that at sometime in their lives they might have a hope of getting justice.

Like Landy you just slammed JWdaughter for sharing her view's.

I have to realize that I am stupid what did you call me a "crazy nut case" or was it that you said I was "insane" I cannot find all the threads that you have attacked me on.

Take this thread an honest question was asked and you and RO have proceeded to derail it, train wreck it, to where it has nothing to do with the topic but just for you 2 to spout off all of your vast knowledge.

It's good to know that this is truly not a discussion board but a Landy and RO board where if we do not agree with you and your views you will slam and destroy what the thread is about until it is unrecognizable if anyone dares to disagree with you.

The few the very, very, very, few who take any notice at all of the JW's at all and who what did you just say 'call on them on "Sunday mornings?" But for those very, very, very, few as you have so eloquently, and clearly, and concisely explained to all of us who do not have the vast knowledge that you and RO have these ad's will stick in the minds of those that see them, it will be in their minds the next time a JW calls on them where you live on a Sunday morning where I live on a Saturday morning but on some morning that a JW calls on them and all the elders who have allowed the child molester free run of the hall's to go out in service these elders will always be looking over their shoulders wondering when they might be called out on it.

What makes me wonder since you are so right, that this is just a silly little "insignificant" religion, that as you also so elegantly put it here "Humanity doesn't give be a shit about the JWs" that no one notices and thinks of them as very harmless, why all these law firms would go to such trouble and spend so much money and time on just a what did you call it "a little fishing exposition to see what it might throw up"
